Fans of Black Myth: Wukong have still not discovered the identity of this mysterious man.

Black Myth: Wukong offers an expansive world filled with numerous stories and characters inspired by the famous novel Journey to the West. The game excels in exploring the narratives of characters and bosses in each chapter. However, there remains a highly mysterious character that, to this day, Black Myth: Wukong has yet to reveal any answers about, leaving gamers unable to speculate.

Specifically, this mysterious character appears in the cutscene of chapter 4, which tells the backstory of Zhu Bajie. The focus of the story is on how Tian Peng Yuan Shuai had a crush on a girl many believe to be Chang'e, only to discover she had another romantic interest. This pursuit led Tian Peng Yuan Shuai to be expelled from heaven and transformed into a pig. The question raised here is who the mysterious man holding Chang'e in that scene is. It seems challenging to answer this question, as according to some information, the art director of Game Science also doesn't know who he is; it was a choice made by the animators, not a description requested by Game Science.

Black-Myth

Of course, this could very well be a joke from the developers. Meanwhile, the die-hard fans of Black Myth: Wukong are still trying to decode this mystery. The simplest explanation is that the man is Hou Yi, who, according to ancient legend, married Chang'e. Another possibility is the Jade Emperor, the ruler of heaven, who decided to expel Zhu Bajie. However, in Journey to the West, there is no connection between the Jade Emperor and Chang'e.

Black-Myth

Some gamers believe that if we think outside the box, the girl in the scene may not necessarily be Chang'e. This perspective certainly opens up more possibilities. However, the mysterious identity of the character mentioned above still remains unsolved.
